The Girl from OrreOrre is a tough place to grow up, even more so when the powerful team Snaggem roamed with impunity for much of one's childhood. This was the world in which Jenna was raised; a world where crime ran rampant and the only reliable way to obtain a pokemon was to sell an arm and a leg to pokemon breeders or to steal one. Jenna chose to steal her pokemon, and she quickly found herself swept into Team Snaggem at a young age. She certainly had the mind for it, as she picked up the mechanics of building and fixing pokeballs extremely quickly, earning her a spot in the forges and workshops that Snaggem relied on for their power. She was the only woman there, and a girl at that, but she quickly earned the respect of her coworkers and superiors as she demonstrated time and time again her ability to build and modify pokeballs for Snaggem's gluttonous need for pokemon. Of course, good things never last, and Snaggem fell when Jenna was 15. Realizing that she was now a wanted woman and that her future in the region was limited, Jenna quickly hopped on the first boat to Johto that she could afford. This region was very different than Orre, and at first the sheer number of wild pokemon available to her was overwhelming. Quickly however, Jenna realized the unique situation that she was in. She had the skills and techniques to capture pokemon easily, though she'd never tried it on a wild pokemon before. Remembering the exorbitant prices that the breeders in Orre had set, Jenna quickly began to set herself up as a powerful weapons dealer. Of course, her weapons weren't guns or bombs, but rather the most effective weapon a trainer could have in these regions: pokemon. She would capture and sell pokemon for a profit, quickly carving herself out a niche as a supplier of new pokemon to young trainers. Jenna finally made the move to Kanto when she heard whispers that a few snag machines had found their way across the ocean from Orre. While she has no idea whether these rumors are true or not, her old fascination with them quickly returned. She'd heard about the gangs in Celadon, and they'd be a good place to start looking. It'd be like Snaggem all over again, except she wouldn't just be a grunt this time around. Of course, she had to find the snag machines first. If there weren't any around, she'd have to make one. She remembered some of the plans from her childhood days in Snaggem, but she knew it would be a while before she could actually design a working snag machine. For now however, she plans to use her skills as an arms merchant to make herself an invaluable asset to the structural stability of whatever gang she joined. Criminals need pokemon to succeed after all. |
